HISTORY :
Originally incorporated as a full private limited company in 1973 as ElTayeb pickling factory. Due to central control of the economy the Government took over 50%of the share and took over the management in 1973and Red Sea Tannery was incorporated. With the turn of the tide the Govt . decided of pull out of partnerships with the private sector .
By that time management by Government had put the tannery into losses and production stopped . Now all the share are owned by the private sector .

2000sheep/goat hides per day .
